In early August of 2013, Donal met with Belfast's Lord Mayor Máirtín Ó Muilleoir. They discussed a fly on the wall photography project that would allow the people of Belfast and indeed a much wider, global audience into the life of the First Citizen. The project would span his remaining term in office and involve a huge amount of personal interaction from both himself, his staff and Donal.
After Donal's third visit in late August, it became apparant that the role of the Mayor was a massive responsibility. Relentless meetings, long hours and constant social media updates were signs that this was a man who had a distinct purpose and clear vision of a better Belfast, a shared Belfast.
