Banbridge Health and Care Centre was conceived as one “combined” building that would provide facilities for a range of primary care, community care and acute diagnostic services at a single location. The aim of this approach was to provide efficiencies by sharing accommodation and services and reducing travel by bringing services together onto one site.

The building performs in three ways:
Firstly in provides community outpatient treatment facilities, secondly in accommodates adults with physical and learning disability in a daycare setting and thirdly the building is an administrative centre for Trust Healthcare.

The Architectural design solution uses the site contours to step these three distinct zones across the site
