AMIC – Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre

Commissioned by McAdam Design, these photographs showcase the remarkable new Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre (AMIC), a flagship development from Queen’s University Belfast and part of the university’s landmark £100 million investment in the future of manufacturing, engineering and innovation in Northern Ireland.

Located at Global Point Business Park in Newtownabbey, the state-of-the-art 10,500m² “Factory of the Future” has been designed to bring together industry leaders, researchers, innovators and students under one roof, accelerating the development of next-generation manufacturing technologies and strengthening Northern Ireland’s position as a global centre for advanced manufacturing.

The project represents an outstanding example of collaboration, craftsmanship and technical excellence. Every aspect of the building has been carefully considered to create a world-class environment that supports research, innovation and knowledge transfer at the highest level. Working alongside an exceptional team of consultants, designers and contractors, the project brought together the expertise of McAdam Design, Delap & Waller, Architectural Acoustics, Topwood NI, Shiluvit BV, CCL Interiors, Henry Brothers, Doran Consulting, Stothers M&E and Workshop NI. Their collective vision and attention to detail have delivered a landmark facility that will help shape the future of manufacturing for generations to come.
