Client: Crown Creative

Neighbourhood Café is probably Ireland’s best café. Situated in the Cathedral Quarter Belfast, opened since November 2021, it has impressed locals with its welcoming atmosphere and exceptional coffee.

Crown Creative designed the interiors, crafting a space rich in heritage character and warmth. Oak panelling and handmade kettley bricks define the bar, while warm green tones and brass accents add elegance and depth. Thoughtful ambient lighting creates a calm, inviting mood throughout the day and evening.

The café is spacious yet intimate. A large central bar anchors the layout, guiding flow and creating a cosy, social heart. Counter seating, wall niches, booth seating offer a variety of spaces for guests to relax. The kitchen is on show, visible through a fluted glass window, adding theatre and energy to the experience. Retail elements are subtle but carefully integrated, echoing the architectural language of the seating areas.

Renowned for its design and experience, Neighbourhood Café has a unique charm and thoughtful design that everyone should experience while in the city. Crown Creative were pivotal in the café’s success, not just through design, but by shaping the overall experience and atmosphere. Their strategic approach ensured every element, from the central bar to the open kitchen, worked harmoniously. By combining aesthetics with function, they created a space that feels both intimate and vibrant. The café’s popularity and glowing reputation are a direct reflection of Crown Creative’s vision, making Neighbourhood Café a standout destination in Belfast for locals and visitors alike.
